The Baby Boomer Generation was launched in an exuberant postwar era. Bold new patterns and unprecedented color combinations were revitalizing American decor. Architecture was defying gravity with outlandish angles and pronounced shapes. Pan-Asian and Tiki influences found their way into middle-America. Lifestyles became a little less conventional, the binds of tradition loosened.

Through cultural revolutions, including the civil-rights movement, the Vietnam War, the fall of Communism, and the struggle for gender equality, this generation developed a defiance of the norm with outlandish culture and pronounce urbanity.

I strive to capture that exhilarating mood, with capricious colors and shapes, infusing humor into the pan-Asian Zen philosophy leading to a more joyful and enriched life. Sort of a karmic balance in art of disparate styles.

My designs are sometimes driven by the woodwork, sometimes the glasswork, often a little of both. But always underlying, whether it is cosmic 50's, psychedelic 60's, graffiti 70's, or the aging boomers' desire for a simpler "Feng Shui" way of life, I incorporate an element of the boomer experience.

Capture my generation's spirit of the hip scene with my unique designs of fun and sometimes functional home decor.

My studio has been in its current location in Laguna Canyon for over a dozen years.
